Does LUCK play an important role in SUCCESS?
What is a success?
What is a success for you? Achievement? Satisfaction? Fame? Followers?
What is your definition of success?
Each and every one of you will have your own definition or meaning of success. You have your own path and own perception towards success.
Let us see what success is in reality?
First of all, success is not achievement. Achievement is a one-time activity or pleasure. Whereas success is repeating your achievement over and over again.
Success is consistency. Without being consistent you cannot be called successful. You can achieve something but you will be successful at it if you constantly repeat that achievement or showcase your ability to withstand that achievement.
For you to be successful you need to first achieve your goal, your aim and then sustain that achievement through your consistency and grow in an upward direction.
What is LUCK?
Luck is an illusion. It is abstract. Luck is what makes you achieve something with fewer efforts.
Luck is a term that is being coined for being at right time, in the right place. Luck is a catalyst for your success.
It is not in our control, it is uncertain and unpredictable.
As we have now understood both SUCCESS and LUCK, let us now see how they are related to each other.
Does LUCK play an important role in SUCCESS?
Yes, luck plays an important role in success but it certainly does not play the only role in your success.
As we have already explained, luck is an illusion, it is beyond our control. We cannot rely on luck for our success or goal fulfillment.
We can only rely on our own efforts, skills, and dedication which indeed are in our control.
“ Don’t take rest after your first victory because if you fail in the second, more lips are waiting to say that your first victory was just luck.”
– A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (Indian scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007)
In the above quote what is being referred for victory is the same for success.
Luck takes whole credit of your success but in reality, it is just a complimenting factor for you to be successful.
Luck can take you somewhere, it can put you in some place. But what you do there, what efforts you put there, makes you successful.
You can be successful only with repetition of your achievements or by being consistent. You have to first reach your goal or aim and then prove every time that why you deserve to be at that position, status or mindset.
You may have to go through emotional and physical challenges while showcasing your worth and only your honest and true efforts will get you through all this and make you successful. Luck will be just a catalyst.
And if (in most rare cases) your success is only because of luck, then it will be gone soon. Because success cannot withstand strong on the foundation of illusions and no physical work or efforts.
We will try to quote this in our own words:
“Luck does not make you successful. Luck just compliments or act as a catalyst for your success.”
