Science and Spirituality

Science and Spirituality are two sides of the same coin called life. Both have different opinions and though but both guides towards the common path of well being and good life. There has been many discussions and arguments of which one of both is more superior or more appropriate. According to Wiki Science (from Latin scientia, meaning “knowledge”) is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. And spirituality refers to a religious process of re-formation which “aims to recover the original shape of man”, oriented at “the image of God” as exemplified by the founders and sacred texts of the religions of the world. Both are very different yet conflicts with each other a lot.

Science breaks the things and thinks over it while spirituality joins the things and thinks over it. In other words, science sees each and everything in bits and pieces and try to go in more depth to understand it and thus end up complexing the things. On other hands, spirituality joins each and everything to the one almighty or cosmic power and tries to simplify the things.

Science is based on reasoning and logic while spirituality is based on belief and experiences that cannot be explained. Science disconnects everything from one another while spirituality connects each and everything with one another.

One needs to be greatly skilled and knowledgeable to be a scientist while to be a believer in spirituality or follower of spirituality you need only to believe in it and experience the outcomes of the same whether you are educated or not it doesn’t matter for it.

Both ask questions to nature while science breaks the nature and learn it and spirituality connects with nature and learn from it. Learning nature explains nature while learning from nature explains your own existence and value.

A scientific mind will never stop and will be always questioning while a spiritual mind will never question as it sees all the answers through the vision it has gained by practicing spirituality.

Science connects you with everyone and everything at the physical level while spirituality connects you with yourself and others at the mental (spiritual) level.

Science claims that everything is driven on its own while spirituality states that everything is driven by a centralized source of energy.

Science sees only the visible, physical or tangible. While spirituality goes beyond it and connects us with unexplainable experiences and intangible things.

Science finds cures to diseases, stress, issues in nature or world while spirituality states that we are the cure to our own diseases, stress, and issues, we have eternal power which can heal us. Science helps us to cure physical wounds through medicines while spirituality teaches us to control and heal mental pain. Spirituality helps us to channelize our energy and feeling in the right way that will lead us to a good life.

Science believes in possibilities while spirituality is making the impossible possible.

Spirituality raises us above the rat race, attachment, and desires.

Spirituality believes in the unending power of faith, belief, determination, focus and the efforts caused by the same.

Science needs to be discovered or invented while spirituality needs to be practiced.

Both drives towards the unknown while science take the path through mind and spirituality takes the path through the soul.

Science believes knowledge can be gained while spirituality says we all already have the knowledge only it teaches us to discover the same.

Science may fail to answer some questions or is still finding answers to some questions while spirituality gives the vision to see the answers that already exist.

Science cannot explain spirituality while if you see spirituality causes science.

Science cannot give any human peace of mind, satisfaction and emotional and mental stability while spirituality can.

Science has certain limits while spirituality is limitless and endless.

Science teaches us the way to a good life while spirituality teaches us the way of a good life.

Science and spirituality originates from different thoughts and roots and cannot be merged together but can be blend together. Both of them have their own ways but if we maintain proper balance in both and use it to learn aspects of life, we will live a life that is desired by many.
